About My Clients
Something feels wrong. You may or may not know what it is or where it comes from. You're looking for a way to sort it out. You don't want to have to perform "client" when you come to therapy, rather you want to show up as yourself. I work with POC and LGBTQ+ clients ages 17+ who interested in getting introspective.
My Background and Approach
I got my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Multicultural Counseling concentration at Antioch University Seattle. My approach is insight-oriented and emotionally focused. The therapy is based in Existential theory, with influences of Gestalt theory, multiculturalism, and mindfulness techniques. I believe that change happens when we become aware of our choices, so the focus of therapy is discovering self-awareness while considering the context of systemic power structures.
