Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Ypsilanti, MI

About My Clients

If you’re feeling drained, stuck, or just tired of trying to hold everything together—you’re not alone. So many of us have learned to survive in a world that tells us we need to be different to belong. My starting point is simple: you are not broken. Often, our pain reflects the strain of trying to fit into systems that were never designed with us in mind. Real healing begins when we can see that truth and turn toward ourselves with understanding instead of blame.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan. My background includes school social work, psychotherapy, and trauma-informed care. I’m trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps clients build compassionate relationships with all parts of themselves, and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which supports healing from trauma and emotional distress. My approach is collaborative and adaptable, grounded in curiosity and respect for each person’s unique system. I work to create a space where clients can understand how their inner parts have helped them survive while developing new ways of relating to themselves that foster authenticity, trust, and ease.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that healing is both personal and collective. We’re all shaped by the systems we live in, and I see therapy as a space to understand not only our internal worlds but also the external forces that impact them. As an anti-oppression and abolitionist clinician, I’m committed to helping clients explore how power, privilege, and identity intersect in their lives while honoring their expertise in their own experience. I take seriously my responsibility as a social worker to engage in advocacy and social action that challenge systemic harm and support liberation. Outside of work, I find grounding and joy in time with my wife, our friends, and our pets. I love being outdoors—camping, gardening, and hiking—and I’ve found joyful movement and community through roller derby. It’s one of the ways I reconnect with play, embodiment, and collective support, values that also guide my work as a therapist.
