About My Clients
Most of my clients are recovering from trauma/anxiety, are part of the LGBTQ+ population, or both. Additionally, I work quite often with individuals who suffer from a borderline personality disorder. I work mostly with adult women ages 18+ however I do treat people of all genders.
My Background and Approach
I believe in listening to the client above anything else. I am trained in EMDR and very comfortable in using this modality via telehealth. I use Gestalt Therapy techniques, along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients explore ongoing emotions in the here and now. I earned a Master of Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Capella University. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Montana, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) in the state of Utah, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Montana, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am fluent in English and Spanish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've been an advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals for over 10 years. I was chair of the board of directors of Not in Our Town Billings and a Board member of the Montana Human Rights Network Board of Directors. I am honored to have been awarded scholarships by the pride foundation various times. A significant part of my caseload is part of the community. I am privileged to continue helping individuals of gender and sexual minorities.
