About My Clients
I work with young adults and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, issues related to drugs or alcohol, and those recovering and healing from trauma. I have supported individuals in exploring their gender and sexuality and embrace non-binary, trans, and queer identities. I also specialize in perinatal, postpartum, and parental mental health. Many of my clients are mental health care providers themselves, who need clinical supervision or emotional support.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy as collaborative journey to understand more about our selves, experiences, and relationships. At the heart of the work is an exploration of the unconscious with the aim of bridging our past and present. Within the therapeutic space we can develop insight that expands our consciousness of self, other, and the world around us. My approach supports exploration of both the roots of emotions, behaviors, and patterns, while also talking about the here and now.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work from a social justice, anti-racist framework. I approach gender and sexuality from a non-binary and fluid perspective, meaning that identities, expressions, and relationships evolve and change overtime, and they can all be celebrated. I believe that non-traditional relationships can enhance the well-being of individuals and couples when it is navigated in a safe and affirming environment.
