About My Clients
I help young adults recognize their values, identify goals, and develop effective coping skills to navigate life’s obstacles as they arise. I work well with young adults, millennials, older gen Zs, college and graduate students, and young professionals. I help guide clients in finding and/or reconnecting with their own internal strengths and values so they are able to live the life they deserve.
My Background and Approach
I provide a space for clients to reflect, begin to heal, and learn how to move forward. Whether you are trapped in cycles of self-defeating thought, stressed by pressures to perform or succeed, stuck in unproductive or destructive patterns of behavior with food and body, or overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, inadequacy, or self-doubt, together we can focus on how to get you unstuck and commit to actions that align with the life you deserve. My clinical approach to individual therapy is determined based on each client’s unique goals and needs. I incorporate evidence-based techniques and interventions rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic theories, as appropriate for each client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I entered into this profession with the goal and passion to help people feel seen and understood, so they do not have to sit alone in their pain. I like connecting with clients to really understand their experience and help guide them toward their own greater resiliency. As a provider, professional, and person, I align with the principles of Health at Every Size® and am wholeheartedly invested in the promotion of mental health advocacy and awareness for all.
