About My Clients
You may be carrying anxiety, depression or childhood trauma while also navigating family expectations, masking and the pressure to be understood in spaces that miss important parts of you. I work with Black, queer, neurodivergent and first-generation adults who want to make sense of old survival patterns, feel more grounded in their identity and build a life with less self-abandonment.
My Background and Approach
My style is down-to-earth, thoughtful and collaborative. I draw from DBT, narrative therapy and trauma-focused CBT. We can look at the stories you learned about yourself, understand how trauma is showing up now and build concrete skills for strong emotions, boundaries and difficult relationships. I will not separate your mental health from culture, identity or the systems around you. The work can move between practical coping and deeper reflection, depending on what you need, without asking you to package your experience into something easier for other people to accept.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am Black, queer, neurodivergent and an artist. Those identities shape how I understand belonging, creativity and the effort it can take to move through spaces that were not designed with you in mind. I believe therapy should recognize both personal pain and the context around it. You deserve support that is culturally responsive, curious and honest. If you would like to work together, book your first session with me through my website.
