Many clients who reach out suffer from symptoms including hyper-vigilance, inattentiveness, dissociation, depression, low-self worth, mood influx, isolation and social anxiety. Whether you are seeking long-term treatment or brief support, I will provide a safe space for us to process ongoing or anticipated challenges.
My Background and Approach
I obtained a Masters Degree in Counseling from Western Michigan University in 2007 and traveled the country, before coming to Portland in 2015. I’ve been in private practice since 2018, helping clients achieve their personal and professional goals. The essence of my work is to facilitate self-growth by helping you to understand personal barriers and incorporate values, so you may begin to manage your life with confidence. Techniques I use include EMDR, Psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in personal experience with adversity and great therapy. These challenges shaped me into a non-judgmental advocate for any client who crosses my path. I firmly believe that with adequate guidance, everyone can build their ideal life. By combining psychoanalysis, education, and your personal strengths, we will build the self-awareness you need to thrive and achieve your goals.
