About My Clients
Are you a young adult trying to navigate life stressors while also going through the parallel journey of learning more about yourself and your mental health? It can feel overwhelming juggling all the big life moments that happen when we are in our 20's and 30s while also managing intense periods of anxiety, sadness or uncertainty. I create safe spaces for my clients to learn about themselves, their triggers and how they can take in life's moments with improved confidence and a growth mind-set.
My Background and Approach
I have a diverse background in community, in-home, inpatient and school-based mental health services and have worked extensively with individuals struggling to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms and schizophrenia-related disorders. I use a solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral approach to help strengthen your insight regarding your thinking patterns, behaviors and resources. I often conceptualize problems using a systems perspective because your environment and relationships directly impact your mental wellbeing. I make it a priority to form positive relationships with my clients because therapeutic alliance is a major predictor of success in therapy. During our first session, I will ask you questions to help you tell as much of your story as you feel comfortable. We will then create some goals to help guide your treatment and create a foundation for progress.
