About My Clients
My clients are motivated to make the changes in life they are seeking help for. They are open to feedback and able to learn new skills and develop new patterns through our caring, trusting relationship. I assign homework each week to maintain consistency and create new rituals for reaching their goals.
My Background and Approach
My experience spans over 25 years reaching a wide variety of issues and populations in order to serve a diverse clientele. I have been EMDR certified since 1995 and find that it helps clients with a wide variety of issues, not just traumas. I am a Certified Gottman Therapist and presenter for the Art & Science of Love couples weekend workshop and am thrilled to see couples transform their relationship through this research based method. I am known for my direct style and love hearing my clients say they got more out of one session with me then three months with their last therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I volunteer for the Crisis Center Board of Directors, as abuse, trauma, and domestic violence are passions of mine. I have a Certified Therapy Dog that comes to work with me and provides my clients with some furry love and support. My interests are anything in nature, travel, live music, animals, and business.
