About My Clients
I love serving the LGBTQ+ community and seeing traditional and nontraditional couples. If your emotions are big and you have trouble with them, I can help you feel calm, connected and present. Trauma and loss can be powerful shapers of your emotional reality; I'm here to help you navigate those rough waters and to heal. I believe you can transcend the painful emotions to grow wiser, kinder, and to see the meaning behind it.
My Background and Approach
Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked in community mental health clinics and drug and alcohol abuse programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Lancaster in 2009 and I've been serving my community here since. I love providing online psychotherapy and hypnotherapy to California residents through a HIPAA-compliant video.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I feel passionate about helping people overcome stigma and injustice, especially transphobia and homophobia, but also racism, classism, sexism, and ablism. I am personally disabled and have faced a lot of discrimination in my adulthood because of it. I also participate in a group called White Therapists Fighting Racism that examines our embodiment of racism and racial trauma. I find that work very rewarding and illuminating.
