My Background and Approach
I work from a person centered approach while incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy interventions. I believe having knowledge of these skills can be essential for overcoming the challenges of depression and anxiety. I am passionate about working with individuals to strengthen their mental health and achieve the version of themselves that they strive to be. I believe it is important for a therapist to be empathetic and genuine with their clients. Life comes with many challenges and receiving unconditional positive regard can be just the reassurance that we need. Your journey of discovering and enhancing your mental health does not need to be one that you embark on alone. I will be alongside you as we work together to uncover your most authentic self. I have a drive to increase acceptance of mental health in the Asian community as well, and provide connection of having a counselor that can truly understand your life experiences.
