About My Clients
My clients are individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and are wanting to process their traumatic histories. My clients experience negative intrusive thoughts that feed their anxiety. They struggle with lack of motivation and have difficulty experiencing joy due to their depression. While others are grappling with painful memories of past traumas. I work tirelessly to provide all clients with a warm, safe space so they can share their pain and witness their own triumph.
My Background and Approach
My career path started in the corporate world, but my heart yearned for something else. I've always had a sincere interest in social issues, psychology, how we operate emotionally and mentally. So I decided to follow my heart and pursue a career in clinical social work. I began graduate school in 2004 and received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from NYU’s Silver School of Social Work in 2008. A majority of my experience has been in community mental health where I helped individuals heal from their traumatic histories. I began to learn what people were seeking from their therapist and their therapy. I saw how my clients responded to sincerity, warmth and authenticity, and made this my mission as a psychotherapist. I am dedicated to helping individuals find their peace, and would love to accompany you on your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the ability to heal, and my experience has proved this over and over again. I am in constant awe of the undeniable resilience that each of us have. I believe that with compassion, authenticity, connection and collaboration, we have the ability to gain insight, improve our functioning and live a life of happiness. I believe that the role of a psychotherapist is one of warmth, encouragement, openness, kindness and connectedness. I believe that psychotherapy works best when done with a genuine nature and collaborative essence.
