About My Clients
Adults, both young adults as well as middle age, working through transitions of all kinds, such as relocation, becoming a parent, loss, career changes, and newfound sobriety. Many times these life transitions bring up unresolved issues from our past, so learning new tools to cope with these moments is essential. Guiding older adolescents through challenging times also allows my playful side to flourish and offer a unique perspective to foster growth during an important time in development.
My Background and Approach
As a client, you are the focus of our work together...you have many of the tools you need to find peace and success in solving the issues that are creating challenges in your life. Therapy is a safe space free of judgement for you to get curious about yourself and “why” you do what you do, and how you might add some new tools for how you communicate and relate to the world. Giving yourself permission to talk about things you might not have ever thought about or given time to uncover is a huge leap in taking care of yourself and your mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is a journey - as we have developed patterns over time, uncovering new ways of relating to ourselves and others takes time. Therapy is fun! Learning how to laugh at ourselves and find joy and fulfillment is a big part of our work together! Helping people find balance, manage difficult emotions and situations, and develop new tools is something I have been drawn to since I was in college. Seeing people discover new strengths and uncover new insights and approaches to solving problems brings me great joy.
