About My Clients
Do you feel overwhelmed by the weight of caregiving, parenting, or navigating life with a disability—either your own or a loved one’s? Maybe you’re carrying trauma, anxiety, or depression that feels too heavy to hold alone. I work best with people who crave a safe, judgment-free space to slow down, be heard, and start healing. Together, we’ll build trust and explore what matters most to you—one step at a time, at your pace.
My Background and Approach
As a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I’ve supported individuals and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and the complex realities of caregiving and disability. I earned my degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from York University, and my work is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, I bring a deep appreciation for diverse life experiences. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen and empowered. Whether you're facing overwhelming emotions or relationship stress, I’m here to help you find clarity and build resilience. Together, we’ll explore what’s most meaningful to you and develop tools that fit your unique needs. I’ll meet you where you are and walk beside you as you heal and grow—at a pace that feels right for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued—especially in the moments when life feels overwhelming. As someone who has lived in different parts of the world, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to my work and honor the unique identities and experiences each client brings. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago and now living in Austin, I’ve grown to deeply appreciate the importance of community, connection, and belonging. I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families navigating the challenges of caregiving, parenting, and living with or alongside a disability. Outside of therapy, I find joy in staying connected to my roots, engaging in meaningful conversations, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that healing is possible when we feel truly heard. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
