About My Clients
My typical client struggles with people-pleasing, anxiety, depression, internalized and/or externalized anger, and managing their feelings in a healthy way. They often have experienced childhood trauma and intergenerational trauma and felt like they grew up too fast and were often labeled the "black sheep," the "troublemaker," or other similar names. Along with those challenges, my typical client often wants better relationships with themselves and others but doesn't know how to achieve it.
My Background and Approach
As your therapist, I will be warm, empathetic, and light-hearted yet serious. In our work together, we will constantly look inward, self-reflect, and work towards accountability. You will rediscover your strengths, find beauty in your weaknesses, and find healthier ways to respond to life's difficulties that you are proud of. I will also encourage you out of your comfort zone to challenge old habits, and traditions, and gain a wider perspective. Uncomfortableness will arise. Rest assured, working through it is a sign of growth and we’ll sit in it together. I would be honored to be a part of your journey of self-discovery. Everything you seek is already inside you. All I’m doing is helping you remember. Notable modalities I use: Compassion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing.
