About My Clients

My forte is working with woman of all ages who may need a compassionate, supportive, non-judgmental but objective listener to help them process and navigate the difficulties they are experiencing. My clients need me to listen, acknowledge their feelings and then provide a pathway to make positive change in their lives to realize improved wellness. I love working with motivated Couples who want to work to improve their relationship and emotional connection with each other.

My Background and Approach

Meet the client where they are at… if warranted explore genetics of extended family , childhood and relationships of biological family to help client understand feelings and core beliefs. Person focused therapy, CBT, Parts work. All of my work with children involves parents, and care givers as a way to empower parents to support children. All of my couples work involves some individual work before meeting as a couple. I have experience working as a classroom teacher and I’m excited working with children and teens struggling with academic difficulties as well as co-morbid mental health issues. I’m experienced working with children, teens, and adults who are diagnosed, undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed as neurodivergent and the impact on academics, relationships, and mental health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work very hard not to judge or offend my clients based on their beliefs. I believe that we are all human and deserve to be listened to, respected and treated with dignity and compassion. I believe that there are many lifestyles that may not be right for me but right for others including my own clients. My priority in working with clients is first to develop a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. Next my focus is on the overall wellbeing and safety of my client with reference to the 8 areas of wellness. My job is not to pass judgement but offer perhaps a different perspective that could assist in overall improved wellbeing if that is what the client seeks. It is important for clients to contemplate what they hope to accomplish in therapy if feeling better is not the goal. We can accept the way things are or we can make small changes in our behavior to shift the dynamics. I can assist my clients in self exploration to determine what is in their best interest.
