About My Clients
I work with teens and adults navigating complex trauma, family violence, and high-stress life transitions. My clients often appear strong on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally. Together, we create a safe space to unpack those layers, explore emotional clarity, and move toward healing at a pace that honors your story and your goals.
My Background and Approach
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) trained in EMDR Therapy, I offer EMDR sessions to support clients in processing unresolved trauma and building a greater sense of internal stability and clarity. EMDR can be especially helpful for those who feel intellectually aware of their patterns but emotionally stuck in them. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–Commerce, and my clinical experience includes supporting teens and adults in nonprofit settings serving survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and childhood abuse. My approach is rooted in person-centered, trauma-informed care, incorporating solution-focused strategies along with empirically-backed interventions, like EMDR, to support both deep reflection and forward momentum. I’m a big believer in science, and an even bigger believer in people. I trust your capacity to heal, and I’m here to help you reconnect with it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care should be accessible, affirming, and culturally responsive. Clients deserve therapy that respects their identity, autonomy, and lived experiences. My practice supports survivors of trauma, members of historically marginalized communities, and those navigating the impact of systemic injustice. I welcome people of all identities, abilities, and backgrounds - including LGBTQIA+ clients, immigrants, and those impacted by interpersonal and generational trauma. Therapy can be a space not only for healing, but for empowerment and reclaiming one’s voice. I aim to hold space for that process with compassion and respect.
