About My Clients
I believe each person is an expert of his or her life. You already possess the tools within yourself to make positive changes. I will help you discover those tools and assist you in life transitions so that you may find your true self. Do you feel like you're on autopilot? Life got you stressed out and you're just going through the motions. We will work together to help you recognize any thoughts or maladaptive behaviors that can produce painful feelings, that can lead to unresolved issues.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling the adult population is based on person-centered, solution focused and cognitive-behavioral theoretical approaches. Traditional talk therapy is not always comfortable for all clients, nor is it developmentally appropriate for children. Play therapy is used to engage and connect with children during session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian believer, but I never push my beliefs onto my patient. I am able to remain neutral and meet you where you are whether you're an atheist or a Buddhist I will respect you and your beliefs whatever they may be. I am an easy-going person with a hippie spirit. I tend to have a sense of humor but not too much.
