About My Clients
In my therapeutic practice, I enjoy working alongside individuals, couples, and families to highlight and strengthen these qualities while navigating the challenges of life. I employ a person-centered approach that utilizes the therapeutic relationship to explore the basic human need of connection to self and others.
My Background and Approach
My experience in counseling includes working with mental health, substance use, and dually diagnosed clientele ranging from child to geriatric populations. I offer individual, couples, and family counseling. I utilize a relational person-centered approach informed by Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family System Theory, CBT and DBT. I also enjoy utilize the creative therapeutic model of drama therapy. Through this model I utilize embodied techniques including dramatic role play, personal role exploration, story-telling, and the use of metaphor.
