About My Clients
I connect with clients who have experienced trauma which has impacted their relationship with self and others. At a pace which honors their nervous system, we will explore and process painful or distressing memories, experiences, and beliefs through an Emotionally-Focused lens and EMDR protocols to reduce challenging symptoms and gain balance and recovery. I work with individuals and family systems to help regulate emotions, understand their inner world, and heal the deeper roots of distress.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in Emotionally-Focused therapy and EMDR, with a focus on helping individuals and families heal from trauma and reconnect with themselves and others. I understand symptoms like anxiety, avoidance, or emotional overwhelm as adaptive responses to past experiences rather than personal failings. Emotions are central to my approach as they offer important insight into unmet needs and patterns shaped by earlier relationships. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels manageable. Using EMDR, I help process and integrate distressing memories so they feel less present and overwhelming. Through emotionally focused work, I support clients in building awareness, strengthening connection, and developing new ways of relating. I approach therapy collaboratively, with respect for each person’s resilience and capacity for meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens through safe, attuned relationships, with ourselves and others. As an Emotionally-Focused and EMDR therapist, I view symptoms as adaptive responses to overwhelming experiences, not flaws. Emotions are essential guides, and trauma reflects what the mind and body carry when experiences go unprocessed. I trust the brain’s capacity to heal when given the right support. My approach centers on creating safety, fostering connection, and helping clients gently process and integrate difficult experiences. Through EMDR, we reduce the intensity of stuck memories through emotionally focused work, and we rebuild trust and deepen self-understanding. I honor each client’s resilience and collaborate at a pace that feels right. I hold hope for meaningful change and believe therapy is about reclaiming connection, authenticity, and a sense of wholeness.
