I enjoy enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults that are feeling burnt out, anxious, or just want to make a positive change in their life. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, ADHD, self-esteem issues, mood disorders, phobias, relationship issues, and perinatal mental health.
My Background and Approach
I view therapy as a collaborative process, in which we work together to identify your goals and needs. Because everyone is a unique being, I take a very individualized approach to the therapeutic journey, while using techniques from modalities such as cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and person centered therapy. I am also a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher! The mind-body connection and holistic wellness is incredibly important and I try to incorporate this into my work as a therapist as much as I can.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the capacity to achieve an internal base state of calm happiness, but life gets in the way of that. I think therapy is one route to help us manage the twists and turns of life, so at the end of the day we can feel calm, instead of the dreading of tomorrow. Anyone can benefit from therapy and there's no need to wait until things get worse, or you "really need it" because everyone needs it.
