About My Clients
My specialty lies in, but is not limited to, guiding those struggling with substance use and other addictive behaviors, including food, pornography, sex and love, video games, and gambling. Additionally, I have extensive experience helping individuals heal from various forms of trauma from combat PTSD to sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I also have experience working with individuals who were formerly incarcerated and are struggling to transition into civilian life.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach blends humanistic and psychodynamic principles, complemented by DBT and CBT for coping mechanisms. I believe that many of our behaviors and internal beliefs derive from our childhood experiences. A combination of humanistic and psychodynamic therapy allows clients to recognize the power within themselves, explore how their past has influenced their current behavior and thought patterns, and use their inherent abilities from within to heal and navigate life in a direction that provides a deeper sense of meaning and fulfillment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe each individual is worthy and capable of healing. I enjoy helping individuals find peace through connecting with authentic versions of themselves. In doing so, we often are able to experience a deep sense of fulfillment that shapes our perspective of self, others, and the world.
