My Background and Approach
I graduated with a master's degree in Social Work in 2019. I have several years of experience working with many different populations, focusing primarily on trauma. I have experience working at a residential inpatient behavioral health facility where I worked with patients that were experiencing both substance abuse and/or trauma. I have 3 years experience working in a private practice practice setting where I have specialized in working with clients that have experienced trauma (PTSD, Complex PTSD, Depression/Anxiety) from toxic relationships and abusive partners and also clients that struggle with relationships due to past trauma. My process and therapeutic approach is specific to the needs, wants, and goals of each client I work with. Since most toxic relationships occur in cycles, I believe in helping you gain awareness and insight into your own so that you can be better prepared for when they happen again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe no one is "too far gone" to recover from harmful relationships from the past. Having been through one myself, I know the feelings of hopelessness, depression, and low self-esteem that utterly drain you. With the help of a professional counselor that has been through your same sufferings like me, emotional healing is possible.
