My Background and Approach
I have over 10 years of experience working as a coach and therapist for people struggling with AD/HD, Anxiety and Depression. I have cultivated a personal mindfulness practice for myself and have witnessed the benefits it can provide when it comes to identifying negative thoughts that infect the mind and our actions. I infuse mindfulness with the training I have had in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to teach specific strategies for challenging the thoughts that impact behavior. These strategies are tailored so that you can use them in all aspects of your life whether you are at home, work or just out in the world. My approach is centered on what will work for you and I am relentlessly focused on how any intervention will play out in real life. Our work together is collaborative and your feedback is necessary and welcome.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't subscribe to a specific religion, but I strongly believe that humans are energy. I have felt this way since I was a teen-ager. The study of Social Work strengthened this belief. The energy that is passed between any two people is directly impacted by our thoughts which leads to our actions. When our energy is high, you can tell by our words and our actions. The same is true when our energy is low. My goal for you is to help you find your highest energy so that you can know that you have an important place on our planet.
