About My Clients
My goal is to help cultivate a safe and trusted space for my clients to navigate emotional exploration, compassionate accountability, learning healthy boundary setting, healing from trauma, understanding interpersonal dynamics and attachment, creating new patterns, identity exploration, increasing self-compassion and building new skills for emotion regulation and awareness.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate that graduated from Portland State University in 2021 with a Master’s in Counseling and a background in development and education. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is dependent on building safety and trust, which means approaching my work with clients at a pace that they feel comfortable with. My work centers on understanding interpersonal dynamics, thought and behavior patterns that impact my client’s lives and relationships. I support clients in their work towards feeling empowered and curious about their own lives while also acknowledging systems of power and oppression that impact their lived experiences. I use elements of Internal Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy and nervous system awareness with a lens of social justice and equity throughout my work. I believe that therapy can be a catalyst for change and can have significant positive impacts on your life, relationships, and the communities you are a part of.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the importance of intentionally continuing my own education around equity, identities and lived experiences that are different than my own so that I can best serve my clients and meet them where they need support.
