About My Clients
Are you working in the Technology space or as an Entrepreneur? Feeling stressed, burned out, navigating imposter syndrome, struggling with work and life boundaries? I have spent 20 years in the technology industry working for Fortune 500 companies, as an entrepreneur in the technology space, as well as a startup founder, before becoming a psychotherapist. I have a unique understanding of how the tech industry and being an entrepreneur can affect your mental health and impact your relationships.
My Background and Approach
Having had many humbling lived experiences gives me a foundation of compassion and awareness that I bring in addressing your current challenges. When working with me, you'll notice a somatic-focused thread in our work together, via tuning into what is happening in your mind and how your body is responding. By observing this, you can gain insight, understanding, and compassion as you grow through your current struggles. You will often find me in therapy asking you “where” you feel something vs. “what” you feel as well as helping you grow in understanding the holistic impact of your experiences to truly gain an understanding of the “why” behind your behaviors, responses, feelings, and emotions and create lasting change. I tell clients that change begins somewhere small, as we learn to be self-aware enough to see the early steps that lead to a greater, fuller life, or the full change you desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy sharing the intimate space that therapy is and genuinely connecting with your lived experience, and working together to create the change that you want in yourself or your relationships. I see positive change happen regularly with my clients, and it is so powerful to witness. I see change as beginning with awareness of what is happening in your mind, emotions, and body sensations. Once you gain an understanding and awareness, you can choose different responses instead of working from the same framework or patterned behavior. This actively engages with your brain's ability to rewire and the effects of neuroplasticity. Change becomes more of a snowball that you see impacting not just the area you came in to work on but threading throughout other aspects of your life.
