About My Clients
You feel like no matter how hard you try, it never turns out right. You work hard, do you best to be healthy, and you always show up for those around you, yet you still feel like something is missing. You constantly doubt yourself and your decisions, and are beginning to feel hopeless, tired, and even angry. When will you start to feel good about yourself? If this sounds like you, know that you're not alone and it is possible to feel confident and comfortable with yourself.
My Background and Approach
Together, we will explore your relationship with yourself and uncover how learned beliefs have prevented you from connecting with your authentic self. Using mindfulness and body-based techniques, I help women access their inner power, develop self-trust, and build the life they desire. My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate and humorous. I integrate anti-diet and fat positive perspectives, and I believe that every woman deserves to have permission—from themselves—to live full and empowered lives. Through our work, you will begin to release the guilt, shame, and self-doubt that has been holding you back for so long. We will challenge societal messages around how you “should” be and support you in cultivating a loving relationship with yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone wants to feel seen and heard, and that the best place to start is with ourselves. Through my own body journey, I have worked to challenge learned beliefs about diet culture and anti-fatness, and I integrate principles of social justice in both my personal and professional lives. By unpacking my own beliefs, I've learned to practice compassion for myself and my humanness, as well as the humanness of others, and I strive to show up as authentically as I can in the therapy space. In addition to my therapy work, I enjoy being active, spending time in nature, traveling, and hanging out with dogs (both my own and those at local shelters).
