About My Clients
I work with LGBTQIA+ teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and relationship struggles, along with clients working through substance use and co-occurring conditions when that's part of the picture. Many of my clients have been in therapy before and left feeling unseen, over-explained, or reduced to a diagnosis. They're looking for someone who won't flinch, won't lecture, and won't need them to justify who they are before the real work can start.
My Background and Approach
My clinical background spans crisis-level care to long-term outpatient work, which shapes how I think about healing: sometimes you need top-down tools that help you understand and reframe what's happening, and sometimes the work has to start bottom-up, in the body, before insight is even possible. I move between both depending on what a person actually needs in the room, not what's easiest to explain. I'm trained in Brainspotting, DBT, and EMDR, and I draw on all three depending on whether someone needs help regulating in the moment, processing something stuck, or building skills for the long haul. I don't lead with modality names in session — I lead with what's actually happening for you, and let the tools follow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you're the expert on your own life, and that identity isn't something to tolerate or work around in therapy — it's part of the foundation. I believe healing isn't linear, sobriety isn't a moral report card, and good therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a performance from either side of the room.
