About My Clients
My clinical focus and passion involves supporting adolescent and adult individuals who are struggling with body image concerns, relationship conflict, and depression struggles with self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I also work with many individuals who are processing trauma and working through current and past struggles.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boise State University and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Arizona State University. Through my experiences working in inpatient psychiatric facilities and private practice I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life with various presenting concerns. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and thoughtfully integrates elements of Psychodynamic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows me to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Polyvagal therapy which I incorporate when helpful to support emotional regulation, trauma processing, and personal growth. Therapy is not about forcing healing or “pushing through” pain it’s about creating a steady, supportive space where your system can gradually learn that it is safe again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don’t believe in pathologizing clients or reducing them to diagnoses. I see symptoms as adaptive responses to life experiences, not personal failures. Therapy moves at your pace and is guided by what feels safe and manageable for you. At the same time, I believe meaningful change often happens just outside of our comfort zone. Together, we gently stretch our window of tolerance. It is never forced nor rushed, so growth feels challenging but supported, and always grounded in choice and trust. Collaboration is central to my work, and therapy is a shared process rather than something done to you. We work together as a team, with your voice guiding the direction of care.
