About My Clients
Are you holding it together on the outside but feeling overwhelmed or disconnected inside? Do stress, burnout, health, eating, or body image concerns keep showing up even though you “should” be fine? I understand how heavy it can feel to carry so much responsibility while quietly struggling. Using an evidence-based, mind-body approach, I help high-achieving adults build practical tools to improve wellbeing, restore balance, and feel more at ease in their bodies and lives.
My Background and Approach
The tools I offer are ones I’ve developed and refined over years of clinical work in medical and mental health settings, helping high-achieving adults manage stress, burnout, health concerns, and eating and body image challenges. My goal is for you to leave therapy with practical strategies you can use in real life—tools that help regulate stress, improve your relationship with your body, and support lasting wellbeing. I work collaboratively and in an evidence-based, mind-body way. We’ll focus on what’s affecting you right now—whether that’s overwhelm, sleep disruption, health behaviors that feel stuck, or constant pressure to perform—and build skills that create meaningful, sustainable change. My training at Stanford, UCSF, and the VA, including leadership in weight management and eating disorder care, allows me to support complex concerns with clarity, structure, and compassion. Over time, clients gain insight, resilience, and greater ease in both body and mind.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be inclusive, compassionate, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience. As a fifth-generation Japanese and sixth-generation Chinese-American psychologist, I’m mindful of how culture, identity, and systemic factors shape stress, health, and wellbeing. I value evidence-based, collaborative care and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I’m especially committed to supporting high-achieving adults who carry a lot of responsibility and often struggle quietly. My work is guided by curiosity, cultural awareness, and a mind-body approach that supports sustainable, meaningful change.
