About My Clients

I enjoy working with individuals that are navigating depression, anxiety, gender and sexual diversity, identity development, self-esteem, and/or considerable life transitions. Additionally, I have a strong passion for working with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, as well as adolescents, adults, and couples.

My Background and Approach

I feel strongly that these are paramount in establishing an authentic therapeutic partnership, in which we can work together in getting you to where you would like to be. My approach to counseling is grounded in a humanistic and person-centered approach that incorporates aspects of solution-focused brief therapy as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). One of the beautiful aspects of being a human is having the capacity to experience such a myriad of emotions. Although, at times some of these emotions might not be the most comfortable or pleasant to sit with, and that is okay. Through ACT, I encourage individuals to embrace their thoughts and emotions rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. Accepting each for what they are and allowing ourselves to honor them and let them pass in order to move forward.
