About My Clients
Many of my clients are self-reflective, are committed to longer-term self-exploration, and are willing to examine patterns in their lives to create lasting and positive change. I work with clients who feel lonely, who long for a relationship they don’t yet have, who struggle to find real connection, or who are estranged from family. My clients may wonder if something is “wrong” with them. They may function well at work and then struggle in their intimate relationships. All of this is welcome.
My Background and Approach
This work often brings me alongside adults who are navigating the impact of having been raised by emotionally immature parents, as well as survivors of narcissistic abuse. These are clients who grew up without healthy, or even “good enough,” attunement, and are now working to understand how those early relationships shaped their sense of self and confidence in the world. I enjoy helping my clients connect with their own values and shift out of autopilot to become more intentional about the direction of their lives. I care about holding big, authentic space for my clients’ real challenges and complexities, just as much as I care about the affirming power of bringing creativity and humor into the therapy office.
