About My Clients
In today’s world, it can be challenging to develop a positive sense of self and I am here to be a comfort, guide, and helping hand. In sessions, you will gain better insight and constructive ways of dealing with difficulties that yield in personal growth. You formulate your desired life narrative and I encourage you to lean on your own skills and strengths. I have a background in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders/body image, trauma, life transitions, etc.!
My Background and Approach
If you are skeptical about therapy due to fears of judgment, confusion about the process, or discomfort in opening up, then my approach is for you. I utilize a sensible, individualized approach pulling from various modalities that uncover significant experiences while giving you practical tools that can aid in your self-discovery. I emphasize a non-judgmental, authentic therapeutic relationship where you will feel safe to explore personal needs, take risks, and truly see what you are capable of. I recognize the humanity of all people, normalizing common day experiences and emotions such as anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. In today’s world, it can be challenging to develop a positive sense of self and I am here to be a comfort, guide, and helping hand. I engage in cognitive restructuring to challenge you to reframe certain thoughts that lead to this self-deprecation cycle.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not believe in a one size fits all approach as each person has their unique needs. I value open communication in the therapeutic relationship to make sure each client is getting their needs met in therapy. We can work towards clarifying intention, making positive strides, and achieving your ultimate goals. I am dedicated to helping others break free of their barriers and confinements. Together, we can work to replace care where criticism is, and turn pain into power.
