As a registered play therapist, play is at the heart of my work, not just for children, but for teens and adults as well.

Children process and communicate emotions and their experiences differently than adults. Using Child Centered Play Therapy helps children process their emotions through play and learn how to better express themselves and cope with their emotions. Whether it's childhood anxiety, social skills deficits, family conflict or witnessing a traumatic experience, children need a way to process their experiences. I teach parents and families skills to better support their children as well.
Trauma can impact and change a person in profound ways that we don't always realize at first. If you've been through something or witnessed something traumatic, it can be difficult to sort through it on your own. Through many years of experience working with survivors of trauma and sexual abuse, this has become an area of expertise for me and I can help you heal from your trauma.
LGBTQIA+ is a community that's close to my heart. I've worked with many clients who identify as being in this group and were looking for support with understanding their identities and then managing the impact this has on their families, friends, jobs and communities. There are a myriad of issues that can come up and I am here to help you as you navigate through them and find your most true and beautiful self.
I use Child Centered Play Therapy for children 3-10 years old and alongside that use Child Parent Relationship Training to help the adults in a child's life support and nurture their relationship with their children. For older children, a combination of child centered and more directive CBT based play therapies can be used to further develop insight and communicate emotions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a wonderful tool, and used alongside other modalities can offer great ways of reframing and challenging negative thoughts and gaining insight into how our inner mental world has such a significant impact on how we perceive and understand what happens around us.
Mindfulness is an important tool for finding a balance with the constant and nagging thoughts that can take over your inner experience.
