About My Clients
Many of my clients are used to being the person everyone else relies on, even when they're struggling themselves. I work with adults, parents, women navigating major life changes, and couples experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, or family stress. Some are adjusting to a new chapter; others feel stuck in familiar patterns. They aren't necessarily looking to reinvent their lives. They want to understand what's happening, feel more like themselves, and make changes that actually
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and co-owner of Rhythm Wellness. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher, an experience that continues to influence how I understand people, relationships, and the different ways we respond to challenges. My work focuses on anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, parenting stress, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and relationship issues. I draw from interpersonal, relational, and cognitive behavioral approaches, paying attention to both the circumstances you're facing and the patterns that may be making them harder. I'm an attentive listener, but I'm also engaged and practical. I'll ask questions, offer perspective, and help you recognize connections you might not have considered. Therapy with me isn't about being told how to live your life. It's about developing greater insight, communicating your needs more effectively, and finding ways to approach challenges with more confidence and clarity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
believe people can be grateful for their lives and still feel overwhelmed by them. You can love your family and need time away from them. You can make a decision that's right for you and still grieve what you left behind. Two seemingly opposite feelings can exist at the same time, and neither needs to be dismissed. As a wife, mother of two boys, and former educator, I appreciate how complicated relationships and responsibilities can become. I value honesty, humor, meaningful connections, and the ability to look at ourselves without unnecessary judgment. I also believe therapy should feel like a real conversation. I don't think every difficult emotion needs to be fixed immediately, and I don't believe there's one correct way to navigate adulthood, relationships, or parenthood. What matters to me is helping people better understand themselves and make decisions that reflect what they actually want, rather than what they feel they're supposed to want.
