About My Clients
Married, dating, solo, polyamorous, a triad — if it's your relationship, it's welcome here, no explaining required. I work with couples, families, and groups untangling communication gone sideways, sitting with jealousy or insecurity, or navigating the real logistics of ENM and polyamory. Others are monogamous couples doing the same deep work. You don't need a crisis to be here. Just willing to show up and do the work, even when it's awkward.
My Background and Approach
I hold dual Master’s degrees in Communication and Couple and Family Therapy. My Master’s thesis was a qualitative study on the lived experience of being in a polycule. She is currently working towards a PhD in Counseling Studies. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and narrative therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People sometimes want to know what's underneath the therapist — what I actually believe, not just what I studied. Fair. Here's the honest version. I was raised Christian and no longer identify with a religion. I think paganism and other "alternative" spiritual paths are just as valid as any mainstream faith. I volunteer at a rabbit rescue, and I firmly believe rescue is the best breed. That goes for pets and for how I think about people. Nobody's too messy to be worth knowing. I believe in science and evidence. I believe in women's full authority over their own bodies and decisions. I believe Black lives matter, plainly and without qualification. And I believe kindness )the honest kind, not the conflict-avoidant kind) matters more than almost anything else. None of this needs to match your worldview for us to do good work together. I'm not here to convert you to mine.
