About My Clients
I work best with clients who are seeking a warm, affirming space to explore identity, heal from trauma, and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way. My areas of clinical expertise include trauma, anxiety, self-harm, justice involved youth (foster care, criminal justice system, etc.), LGBTQIA+ issues and navigating life transitions.
My Background and Approach
As a Resident in Counseling, I bring specialized experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, justice-involved youth, and those navigating complex life transitions. My clinical training has focused on trauma, anxiety, self-harm, and identity development—including work with clients impacted by the foster care and criminal justice systems. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, relational lens that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and compassion. Clients often share that they feel seen, heard, and gently challenged in our work together. Whether you're processing systemic harm, internalized shame, or the everyday weight of showing up in the world, my goal is to support your healing in a way that feels both grounded and liberating.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a queer and non-binary clinician, and these identities deeply inform the way I show up in the therapy space. I believe that healing is political, personal, and relational—and that therapy should be a place where all parts of you are welcome, especially the ones that have been marginalized, silenced, or dismissed elsewhere. I believe mental health work should challenge systemic harm, not just treat its symptoms. As a parent to a child with disabilities, I bring lived experience and deeper empathy to my work supporting neurodiverse clients and families navigating complex care systems. This perspective enhances my commitment to accessibility, patience, and individualized care. Outside the therapy room, I stay engaged in queer and disability community spaces and advocacy around youth justice and decarceration. I’m committed to unlearning and accountability, both personally and professionally. I also value laughter, creativity, rest, and resistance as healing tools.
