About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is brave enough to realize that what they are doing is not working anymore. Someone who can feel the fear...and do it anyway. someone who is willing and ready to take a look at the icky parts of their life, past or present, and let them go for the purpose of healing. "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." ~Anais Nin~ When we can say
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping you find the core negative beliefs you have about yourself. I also help you examine how your conception, birth, & birth order can influence your life in what you think, say, do, & believe about your world. Unraveling and letting go of childhood hurts can bring more peace and happiness to your life. I am a very compassionate person and you will feel comfortable, safe, and supported while we explore whatever issues you are facing. I use a cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approach. I hold a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and have six years’ experience working in a behavioral health hospital (inpatient & outpatient), court mandated drug/alcohol/domestic violence/anger management, as well as private practice, working with relationship issues, abuse/sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, infertility issues, boundaries, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, women’s issues, and life transitions such as divorce, retirement, and empty nest.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy.
