About My Clients
I provide psychotherapy for women navigating the shifting seasons of life such as marriage, divorce, blended family, empty nest, career upset, death of a loved one, caring for an aging parent, etc. I also specialize in providing affirming LGBTQ+ therapy for individuals, their parents and partners. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, cultural competency, and a commitment to social justice. I am licensed to treat clients residing in California, Colorado, and Oregon.
My Background and Approach
I began my academic path with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Journalism from San Diego State University and went on to a successful career in fashion licensing and business technology. Following a traumatic divorce, I was intent on pursuing a “third act” in which I could “live in purpose” and use my natural gifts of insight, inspiration, and empathy more directly. That led me back to school: I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, with a specialization in LGBTQ+ Affirmative Psychotherapy. I am an integrative psychotherapist and use a range of therapy approaches - psychodynamic, attachment-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, feminist therapy, family systems, strength-based, and narrative therapy - which are adapted to suit your own individual needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to not only addressing the mental health symptoms but also affirming the whole of who you are. I partner with people to understand the origins of issues, resolve patterns that cause pain, and cultivate resilience and connection. Whether you’re facing transitions, grief, conflict, or simply seeking greater meaning and balance, I support you in discovering clearer pathways forward.
