About My Clients
Invest in yourself: Discover growth and healing in therapy. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate anxiety, racial identity, and life transitions. You may be struggling with self-doubt, feeling unseen, or uncertain about the path ahead. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your emotions and experiences without judgment.
My Background and Approach
My professional background encompasses over six years working in various roles within the social services field, such as case management, school settings, and residential treatment centers. I have experience with a diverse range of populations, including the LGBTQIA2S+ community, the BIPOC community, individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness, adults who have faced long-term homelessness, and adolescents with co-occurring disorders. Furthermore, I have experience addressing anxiety, depression, life transitions, developmental delays, autism, behavioral/emotional issues, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. I utilize therapeutic modalities including person-centered, culturally responsive, and strengths-based perspectives, as well as relational, mindfulness, holistic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and motivational interviewing approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a child of immigrants and from a bi-cultural background, I offer a unique perspective on life and mental health. I believe that mental health is crucial to overall health and well-being; however, I recognize that not everyone has equitable access, privilege, or views about mental health. Therefore, I am committed to bridging this gap and combating mental health stigma. Passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I aim to provide services to BIPOC and marginalized communities. As an Asian-American, I understand how intimidating it can feel to ask for help, but you are not alone. Taking the step to seek therapy is courageous, and it’s normal to feel hesitant—it’s all part of the journey toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to build a more fulfilling life.
