About My Clients
Regardless of the challenges you face, I believe you are the expert on you. My role is a supportive one as you identify your needs and work through complicated emotions and life experiences. Our work together is a partnership with shared aims: fewer unwanted emotions and behaviors, and a greater ability to respond to stressors. Whether you experience anxiety, grief, trauma, or interpersonal challenges, I am mindful of the vital influence of one's environment, culture, family system, and identity
My Background and Approach
My clinical work is grounded in developmental psychology, neuroscience, attachment theory, and existential inquiry. This foundation encourages the process of learning, questioning, reflecting, and improving one's perspective over time. I began my career in academia, where I valued strong relationships with teens, families, and their communities. Whether we are learning new thinking skills or working on positive change within ourselves, I believe change is a process that requires endurance and baby steps. Trauma-Focused CBT, Gottman Method, Complex Trauma with victims of Sex Trafficking, and Grief and Bereavement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to know my clients well and appreciate the vulnerability involved in sharing one’s personal narrative. I approach each individual with empathy, dignity, and a desire for others to feel safe, understood, confident, and hopeful for positive change.
