Lin Reams (she/her)

I have lived with chronic pain for much of my life as well as worked with others who deal with terminal illness and end of life issues including physical and emotional pain, grief and loss around having these issues, as well as anxiety and fears.

I've cared for people who have Alzheimer's and Dementia, in their homes, focusing on empowering them to live lives that matter. I've developed close relationships with them so that I can understand how to best support them in memory loss, confusion, anxiety and emotional distress. I've also worked with loved ones caring for them at home, supporting them in their own self care and stress management.

Empowering you to love and accept yourself is my passion. I help you recognize where you're judging yourself and increase your awareness of all the ways you do that. Through mindfulness, self reflection, and present moment body awareness, it becomes easier to accept and have compassion for who you are and what you need.

I go beyond what the mind knows to include what body, heart and spirit know. I recognize your wholeness and that's where we focus to discover what you need in order to heal. I find it easiest to experience our wholeness in present moment awareness. This can include mindfulness, meditation, journaling, and experiencing nature. I combine talk therapy/story telling with feeling and sensing into our knowing beyond words and interpretations.

Through body centered awareness we open the field of our perception to include our fluidity and abilities to change in the moment. We also include the fluidity of the world around us which changes our relationship to others and to the world we live in. We can feel what we know as well as think it. The body shows us exactly what we need to see in relation to healing, when we gently bring our awareness to our breathing and down into the center of our being.

As you bring your attention into the present moment and become aware of what you're experiencing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, you become more aligned with your truth, your wholeness. We can use this alignment to discover more about what's going on for you in relation to your healing. You can feel and know things that you couldn't know with your mind alone.

I want to help you continue to discover your truth about who you are and what matters most to you. Self awareness and self knowledge are key to uncovering long standing mental/emotional patterns, beliefs, and conditioning that prevent you from growing. There are many ways to strengthen your sense of self and we’ll explore what works best for you. I always include body awareness in the present as a way to more deeply connect with what you’re feeling and sensing about what truly matters.
