About My Clients
I work with adults experiencing intrusive thoughts, compulsions, persistent worry, anxiety, avoidance, or the effects of traumatic events. You may know you have OCD, an anxiety disorder, or PTSD, or you may be unsure what is contributing to your symptoms. I take time to understand your experiences and how they are affecting your life. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and goals using evidence-based approaches, including ERP for OCD and PE for PTSD.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, specializing in OCD, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. I provide evidence-based treatment through secure telehealth. For OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a first-line treatment that helps you gradually face feared thoughts, situations, and sensations while reducing compulsions and avoidance. For PTSD, I use Prolonged Exposure (PE), an evidence-based treatment that helps reduce trauma-related symptoms and avoidance. My approach is structured, supportive, and collaborative. We begin by understanding your symptoms, concerns, and goals, then develop an individualized treatment plan together. Throughout therapy, I provide education, guidance, and practical strategies while helping you build skills that extend beyond our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe effective therapy begins with respect, collaboration, and genuine understanding. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and life experiences and strive to provide a space where you can speak openly without judgment. As a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking therapist, I value culturally responsive care and recognize that culture, family, values, and personal beliefs can shape how we understand our experiences. I respect each client's individual values and incorporate what matters to you into treatment while maintaining an evidence-based approach.
