About My Clients
I work with kids, teens, and young adults facing all sorts of life challenges - anxiety, depression, behavior issues, school issues, ADHD, life transitions, and more. You may feel overwhelmed, stressed out, and that you can't keep up. Together, through acceptance and support, we can heal, reach goals, and foster a growth lifestyle.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in a behavioral health setting. I work with a variety of diagnoses and life concerns, and I operate from a family systems perspective, including parents and other family members when appropriate. Emphasizing evidence-based practice and tailoring to each individual’s needs, I implement a variety of approaches including DBT, CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, ACT, and more. I practice based on a trauma-informed, strength-based, client-centered, and multicultural approach to foster a meaningful therapeutic relationship that stimulates healing and growth for each unique individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be approached with humor, creativity, genuineness, and acceptance. Being a kid, teen, or young adult can be challenging, and I work to make therapy as fun as possible as we navigate serious issues. I place a heavy emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe space to be accepted and understood, no matter who you are.
