About My Clients
I am truly passionate about empowering my clients to identify and make meaningful shifts that they want in their lives. In my clinical experience I have found that therapy works best when there is authenticity in the relationship. With an active and engaging approach, I am committed to creating an environment where my clients can feel comfortable to be themselves fully. I believe that each client is the expert of their own story and therefore has integral skills in meeting their therapy goals.
My Background and Approach
I help clients build the confidence to face mental health issues and find ways to live their happiest and most authentic lives. I use a collaborative process with each individual to find the right treatment plan for them. One thing I am passionate about is mindfulness. My favorite definition of mindfulness is “paying attention to your life, here and now, with kindness and curiosity.” (Amy Saltzman) Through my work I help clients access this version of mindfulness by incorporating kindness and curiosity into their internal dialogue. This can empower clients to make the changes they desire in their lives. As a yoga instructor, I have learned the importance of being present with each client in each struggle. In session, clients are able to practice this mindfulness and presence. I believe in the power of integrating the mind and body to create a foundation for grounding oneself. Additionally I work from a Health-At-Every-Size framework and I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
