About My Clients
Life and relationships are not one-size-fits-all; I help my clients to discover their own authentic truths and desires in the realms of sexuality, relationships, identity, work, creativity, spirituality, and more. I support my clients-- individuals, couples, and polycules-- in finding their own unique joy, fulfillment, and authentic path. My therapeutic practice is queer-, poly-, and kink-positive; I offer a welcome, accepting space for your whole self and your complex identities.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with a Master's in Counseling Psychology. I offer holistic, person-centered therapy that emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. My approach is rooted in feminist therapy, attachment theory, and existential therapy. I also hold a Master’s degree in Women, Gender, Spirituality, and Social Justice. This social justice lens informs my therapeutic approach, which recognizes the realities of systemic oppression– and the possibilities for liberation. The somatic, symbolic, and spiritual also play a role in my approach. I have a background in teaching yoga; the mind-body connection is central to my view of healing. I also have extensive background in spirituality and the creative arts. I am passionate about symbolic and artistic tools for self-expression and self-inquiry, such as tarot, art, and creative writing. I am happy to include these practices in the therapeutic process, as tools for self-growth and exploration.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that your body holds wisdom, knowledge, and intuition. I believe that all bodies, all relationship constellations, and all forms of consensual sexuality are worth celebrating. I believe in dismantling the hierarchical structures that we've inherited, and instead creating lives and relationships that are custom-fit to our own unique desires, dreams, and needs. I believe that we all deserve pleasure, joy, connection, and liberation. I believe that we are all works in progress, and that there is no final destination of perfection that we will arrive at. Rather, in the words of Ram Dass, I believe that "we are all walking each other home."
