About My Clients
Maybe you’re exhausted from anxiety spirals, sleepless nights, or worst-case fears sneaking in when you least expect them. Or you’re grieving a pregnancy loss, struggling to enjoy pregnancy after loss, or wondering why postpartum feels so much harder than it 'should.
My Background and Approach
I earned my doctorate in psychology in 2014 and am certified in perinatal mental health with advanced trauma training, including EMDR. My years of experience in OB, NICU, and outpatient medical settings give me unique insight into both the medical system and the private struggles women carry during this time. I’ve supported women through infertility, pregnancy loss, high-risk pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and complex health concerns. Therapy with me blends evidence-based tools like CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness with a warm, collaborative style. Together, we’ll find strategies that help you manage anxiety and stress in daily life, while also creating a safe space to grieve, process, and rediscover meaning. Clients often leave sessions feeling calmer, less self-critical, and more connected to themselves and those around them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that reproductive and mental health cannot be separated from justice. I am committed to reducing racial disparities in birth and minimizing the impact of systemic racism in medical systems. I am passionate about helping women and birthing people feel empowered to advocate for themselves, especially in settings where their voices may not be heard. My work is grounded in evidence-based tools to reduce the risk of traumatic birth experiences and support healing when trauma has occurred. I recognize this is a frightening time for many given today’s political climate. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where clients can process their experiences, feel seen in their struggles, and regain a sense of agency on their reproductive journey.
