About My Clients
My work is a combination of psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, mindfulness and interpersonal psychotherapy with a speciality in providing harm reduction maternal mental health services. Infertility, fertility and parenthood is a journey and I am here to help listen, support, advocate and cheer clients on to find their footing and sense of self on this journey. No question or story is too long or detail oriented for me and I am not afraid to laugh with you or hold your pain and tears.
My Background and Approach
I entered the social work field with a passion for working with adolescents and addiction. While remaining passionate about working with adolescents and individuals impacted by addiction, I have become specifically passionate about working with perinatal and postpartum mood disorders from my experience of working in residential settings, outpatient methadone programs and more recently through providing virtual psychotherapeutic services at Valera Health in their Maternal Mental Health Program. It is too often that clients face tremendous barriers in seeking mental health services due to stigma and limited resources and my goal is to provide an authentic, proficient, and supportive space to those facing perinatal and postpartum mood disorders.
