About My Clients
I am here to lend support to those facing life's challenges - whether it is chronic illness, trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or whatever else life throws your way. My passion is assisting individuals who, due to childhood, family, religious, societal, or cultural experiences learned to prioritize others' needs and hide parts of themselves to make others comfortable. My goal? To help you heal your inner child and build a harmonious connection between your brain, mind, and body.
My Background and Approach
Each person's journey is unique, so I take an "eclectic" approach, drawing from various modalities like ACT, DBT, CBT, SFBT, and Polyvagal Theory to tailor therapy specifically to your needs. With my background in trauma and dream analysis, I offer a variety of evidence-based tools to support your healing process. Holding an M.Ed. in Counseling, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and a Primary Care Behavioral Health Consultant certificate, I bring a comprehensive and well-rounded skill set to our sessions. Additionally, I have over a decade of collaborative experience in roles such as family coach, peer support specialist, and teacher.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe that the path to true joy and self-improvement begins with embracing our most authentic selves—the entirety of who we are, flaws and all. It's about accepting the good alongside the bad, and acknowledging the complexities that make us who we are. By embracing our true selves, we set out on a journey towards realizing our fullest potential. Perhaps, along the way, we come to understand that we are already inherently valuable, and everything else simply enhances the worth that already resides within us.
