About My Clients
I have experience helping population with late diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD or Autism and related executive, relational, and emotional challenges, ages 13 & up. They tend to experience trauma, confusion, anger, and grief that stem from unacknowledged struggles, untapped potential, and unlived life. Students struggle after they leave home and lose their prior consistent support. I was a Psychometrician assisting with the assessment of ADHD and Autism for a practice.
My Background and Approach
I have also frequently worked with OCD, health anxiety, fear, chronic pain, headache, tics, motivation, anger, grief, self-doubt, injustice sensitivity, unfairness, life transition, parenting, boredom, getting stuck in a purposeless life. I had been an associate professor in English before I moved to USA 11 years ago, and I speak both English and Mandarin. I believe safe exploration is the key. Once the invisible wound is seen and acknowledged, our challenges could be tamed accordingly. If your anxiety, depression, or trauma does not respond well to traditional treatment, it could be a manifestation of unrecognized neurodivergence. The solution could be to get core tasks done or tune chronic tension down. I tend to use humor, sensory languages and analogies to collaboratively explore and elucidate triggers, patterns, rationale and strike home the message and make it stick, which is typical of MCBT (Modified CBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe once the invisible wound is seen and acknowledged, it is on its way to heal. You probably have experienced plenty of trauma due to unrecognized neurodivergence. If your anxiety or depression does not respond well to traditional treatment, it could be a manifestation of neurodivergence. The solution could be a formula for getting core tasks done or getting chronic tension down.
